Boasting more than 7 million people, Hong Kong offers a glimpse of the density of cities of the future. Yet, in a 344-square-foot corner of its Sai Wan Ho neighborhood, architect Gary Chang is living an experiment that also reconciles compactness with gracious living. Chang, who is managing director of Edge Design Institute, has ingeniously applied a system of moving walls and Murphy fixtures to this tiny loft space so that it may be pushed, pulled, folded, and snapped into numerous layouts...
