When Tel Aviv–based architect Yaron Golany’s sister accepted a tutoring position outside Jerusalem, near their parents, the family realized that her residence could be built on its thickly wooded property. But Golany, who runs Golany Architects with his wife Galit, hesitated to cut down any homestead trees. In response, the tightly knit team decided that it should bend the home to the forest rather than remove the site’s original, leafy occupants…
