AIA’s COTE Awards Deadline Extended to February 14
The American Institute of Architects’ Committee on the Environment’s annual Top Ten Green Projects awards program has extended its deadline for submissions to February 14, 2008. The program recognizes ten new projects designed according to sustainable principles.
Based on what you have seen and read about this project, how would you grade it? Use the stars below to indicate your assessment, five stars being the highest rating.
Projects can be built anywhere in the world, as long as they are designed by an architect with an American license to practice. The awards are decided by a jury, which this year includes Glenn Murcutt, Glenn Murcutt Architecture; Susan Rodriguez, FAIA, Polshek Partnership; Gail Brager, UC Berkeley; Marvin Malecha, FAIA, dean of the College of Design at the North Carolina State University; Jason McLennan, AIA, Director, Cascadia Region Green Building Council, and Rebecca Henn, AIA.
Winners will be announced April 21 and will be exhibited at the AIA convention in Boston from May 13-15. GreenSource has featured several Top Ten winners in previous issues.
