The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has announced that Daniel Tishman, a green building pioneer, has been selected as the chairman of the organization’s board of trustees.

A fourth-generation owner of Tishman Realty and Construction, based in New York City, Tishman is the chairman and CEO of the company’s construction arm, Tishman Construction Corporation. His company has managed the construction of several notable green buildings in New York, including 4 Times Square and the LEED-Silver-rated 7 World Trade Center. He has sat on the NRDC board of trustees for ten years, most recently as the vice chairman.
