BuildingGreen, LLC, a contributing partner to GreenSource magazine, announced at the 2008 Greenbuild International Conference the imminent launch of a new online tool. Dubbed the Green Building Advisor, this online resource will provide interactive tools for designers and developers of residential projects.

The Green Building Advisor launches in January 2009 and will act as a resource for both curious homeowners who are unfamiliar with the concept of sustainable building and experienced contractors seeking to implement green features on their projects. Users will be able to access a wealth of information about sustainable practices and design philosophies. Users also will be able to look up product information, read forums and blogs run by professionals in the field, and even access real design documents, specs, and CAD information. A section of the site will be dedicated to in-depth studies of successful green buildings, accompanied by a comment tool that encourages community interaction.
